Maternity Cabinet
This bat maternity box is made of waterproof wood with osb on the inside for excellent grip.
The design focuses on the common dwarf bat and the moulting bat, but generally lends itself to all building-dwelling species.
The cabinet is composed of 4 rooms and has a total area of almost 3.5 square meters on the inside!
The Interior work of the bat maternity box is stepped which facilitates approach for the animals.
Ventilation ensures a pleasant indoor climate and the tough exterior paint ensures a long life. The bat maternity box can be incorporated into the maintenance plan, making it sustainable.
Temperature:
People worry about the black paint job. research has shown that mainly the first layer gets very hot, but that is actually an advantage. As a result, heat is better carried through the layers into the building. No bat has ever been found in the first layer and serves mainly as a buffer for the other layers.
Accompanying the images is a graph with the blue line as the outside temperature. The red lines is the temperature through the layers.
The lips on the side of the stall box and hanging by hook lath makes hanging very efficient and easy.
Central securing at the bottom minimizes damage to the building.
The construction of the cabinet has proven itself for more than 10 years! And if you include the maternity box in the maintenance plan, it can even do its job for decades which makes the box suitable as a permanent measure!

We have years of experience in making buildings unsuitable or wildlife-free to house bats and/or breeding birds. We do this using exclusion flaps and other tools such as brushes, compriband and cloths. We place the exclusion flaps in strategic locations and mount them per façade plane. The distance between the flaps is on average 5 m (or one flap per façade section).
